My Teaching

I am a member of EPTA (European Piano Teachers’ Association). I teach children and adults of all ages, beginners, restarters and more advanced pupils. I aim to lay good foundations of technique, musicianship and notation-reading to enable pupils to play well and enjoy their playing. I am classically-trained but am happy and able to help pupils to play their favourite music whether pop, Disney, songs from the show etc. 

I enjoy teaching children and adults of all ages. I love seeing pupils’ progress and helping them to achieve things that they perhaps thought were beyond them.

Some pupils choose to take exams but I don’t push anyone to do so who doesn’t want to; I have a 100% pass rate. One of my pupils achieved the exceptionally high mark of 140 out of a possible 150 for her exam. Other pupils have also passed with distinction including a grade one pupil who had only been playing for less than a year. 

I have experience helping pupils prepare for Duke Of Edinburgh Awards, cub scout badges etc.

I also hold occasional pupils’ concerts, online, or face-to-face at a local venue, to give pupils the opportunity to meet and play to each other, hear other pupils’ music and to feel inspired to make more progress themselves. 

Pupils come to me for lessons from a wide area, not only from Droitwich but also from Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Pershore, Worcester, Redditch, Fernhill Heath and Wychbold.
