About Me
I studied flute and piano full time at music college, at the Welsh College Of Music And Drama, Cardiff, for three years, where I was awarded the Principal’s Prize, and then a postgraduate year at Trinity College Of Music in London, achieving two graduate / professional-level performance diplomas. After I left music college, I also studied the piano privately for several years with Anthony Digger in Malvern.
I have been involved with music from an early age, at school and in youth orchestras. I gained A-Level music and was awarded ABRSM’s Silver Medal and the Laura Marco prize for the highest Grade 8 flute mark of the year in the entire country.
I have been a visiting instrumental teacher at two schools.
I maintain a very keen interest in classical music and continue to practise to maintain and improve my own playing level. I have performed in concerts in such prestigious venues as St. David’s Hall, Cardiff and Birmingham Town Hall. I enjoy attending concerts and masterclasses. I particularly enjoy playing chamber music. I collect sheet music and books on music and musicians.
